Can anyone explain to me how to properly change a single-pole dimmer switch with a single-pole switch. Thanks.

Turn off power to that circuit. Remove installed switch and replace with new switch. They are wired the same.

Only difference is dimmer switch will probably have lead wires that you'll connect to house circuit using wire nuts that came with switch instead of connecting at termination screws on side.

And the great think about a standard switch is...........You can't get it wrong no matter how you wire it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
