$1 TRILLION spent on infrastructure is far better then $1 spent on an immoral war, don't you think?

Immoral War? What is immoral about stopping public hand cutting off events?

Public hand cutting off events? Hell they behead people. So? They didn't bring it and enforce it in Florida...Who cares what they do? Its part of their religion and their religion is the LAW.

Go in the public square and take someone who has stolen and cut their hands off.........guess what, I bet the stealing will greatly decrease. I lived in the Middle East and there are good people and their are bad people. For the vast majority they are very very nice people with alot of love in their heart. I am not a Muslim and do not align myself with any organized religion. I believe in God and I have a personal relationship with him/her.

I am not saying life is better than here......just depends on your views. Little crime, very little infidelity, a strong belief in their religion and very little dependence on technology there.

Just because we do things different here does not make them right........just different.

I agree, some of the things we do here like believe that the United States is the world's police force and in that role we have the right to invade another sovereign nation because we don't particularly like their government will have to cease. In any case the world will not put up with that type of shenanigans for too long, just look at what happened to Great Brittan when they attempted to control the middle-east after WWII.

I agree with you Russell on the fact that things would be different if people who stole were prosecuted by having there hands cut off then theft crimes would greatly decrease in the United States.

But that will never happen because most of the prisons are independent ran businesses and they get paid on how many inmates they have. So they would rather put someone in prison to make a profit, instead of doing something (cutting off a hand for theft)that would stop crimes because that would mean less inmates and less profit.

I have a simple plan.....to clean all of this up and it is VERY simple. Get rid of all "career" politicians and make it about what it should be....... serving the people. No one should be above the law. If you think looking towards the government for help is the answer, you are a moron. If you have ever complained about waiting in line at the post offfice because they are slow or the bad attitude from the DMV rep. the last time you went to get a drivers license, why do you think a representative of congress gives a rats fuzzy butt about you or your family? Politics have become a nasty business. One that does not care one thing about you or your family. It has become about who has power OVER the people. Don't believe me? Once the "left" or radicals (progressives) take control, you will see two things become part of the agenda BEFORE the financial mess policies get started. 1. The "fairness doctrine" will be called something else and will be passed by congress in the middle of the night or it will be an ear mark that no one will read. 2. The second ammedment right will be "taken" away. If you don't believe that fact......ask anyone in New Orleans about how their guns were taken without reciepts and destroyed on site. Once these two policies are passed, Politicians are in control....not the people. Then who is going to hear your voice? How are YOU going to protect your family? How will things get "better"? Or did the country just "change" and now all you are left with is "hope"? It should not be about republican vs democrat. Politics have turned nasty right along with all the politicians. Don't you get it? I'm sure SOMEONE will try and rebut this by avoiding the FACTS and say something really inteligent about my spelling or something else insignificant. If you think for one second that the U.S. Government is going to take care of you....please don't tell me that. You are an idiot, and I don't want to hear about your point of view. I have worked for the government (U.S. Army 7.5 years) and Lord how it is screwed up at times. What makes it successful are the people in the army. How many people do you know, that have joined the Army to get rich? Or did they join to SERVE our country? I have also ben on the other side of the government and had to take unemployment for three months. Worst time of my life. I was FORCED to take unemployment or starve. When I started taking a hand-out from the government, a representative was assigned to me to "help" find me a job. She told me where to go to look for a job, what to say, how to dress, ect. Is this the answer that some people are looking for? What are you going to do without freedom?
