Default e & O insurance

What are u paying per year for 1 person E O insurance? I don't understand why we need insur when u have a hold hamless clause. Also, the property owner is protected thru their insur for anyone on the property. Are insur co. triple dipping into the pockets of everyone.

E & O covers you for when you miss something - like a roof. A hold harmless is generally used when you settle with someone that they wont sue you in the future.

I wouldn't rely on the assumption that a property owner is covered under their own insurance. Or that a limitation/harmless clause will keep you from being sued.
