Atlanta would be a great central area to have the commercial inspection class. I would certainly attend! The technical code aspects are not an issue for me, however, finding out what is the generally accepted format of information and life of materials, and what community do you market to, real estate or bank people? Defining the scope of inspection, etc. How do you market your business?

Nick,
Have you made a decision on the next city for the Commercial Inspection Course. All of us in Atlanta are counting on you to do the fair (right) thing. Earl |

Hi Nick
I think Atlanta would be a great spot and would draw attendance from several southern states as it is the hub of the south! Thanks Steve Mahaffey Steve Mahaffey Inspections |

Nick,
Atlanta, Georgia. If you need assistance in organizing it, the NACHI Atlanta Chapter members will help. Let us, in the NACHI Atlanta Chapter, know the date and we will fill the room to your maximum. Thanks, CJ Morris Capstone Home Inspections, LLC Marietta, GA 404-932-2806 |

Let me start by saying I was at the Denver Commercial Course and it was excellent! If you are going to one of these hoping to learn everything that you need to know such as inspecting transformers, cooling towers and anything that you would find in a commercial setting, you will not. What Mike Nelson did was to effectively show us how to do your walk around, proposals, reporting, marketing and most importantly team building.
Nick's goal of putting 1000 NACHI members through this commercial course is ambitious to say the least. (I think that is the number I read somewhere) I believe that the first thing that should be done is 20 different locations identified up front. There has to be a class every 15 to 16 days to meet the goal. After the cities are identified, I think that we need to defer to Nick and the instructors to select dates and cities. I know that it's easy for me to say since I have already been to one, but how do you possibly make everyone happy? I'm sure the answer is...you don't. Logistics also need to be taken into consideration since there are numerous things that need to be taken into consideration. Thanks again Nick and Mike! (and also Porter Valley Software for the lunches, coffee, soda and snacks) |

David,
I'll wait to hear that from Nick! So far I've heard nothing as far as where the next course will be held. Earl |
