I got the impression that NACI or InterNACHI was going to send books to members. I guess I'm confused again . Aimee sent an email asking about how many books we would need based on amount of inspections.

John,

I think this is the book Aimee is shipping to inspectors at no charge:

http://www.nachi.org/homeheadstart2006.htm

Our book is a book that inspectors would purchase to enhance and supplement their report.

Andrew,

Our book is 80 pages, and 8 3/8" x 10 7/8".

Hope that answers your question.

Anyone looking to enter into a side business doing this... email me a gromicko@msn.com

Mr. Fix It must go.

I just wanted to revive this topic. Mr. Fix-It (Tom Feiza) is the outgoing President of the Wisconsin Association of Home Inspectors. He is constantly criticizing NACHI either directly or by innuendo.

He won re-election last spring by only 25 votes and is not running again but tried to propose that all outgoing Presidents automatically get a 1 year seat on the WAHI board of directors.

He is also now the first Home Inspector to sit on the Real Estate forms advisory board.

He is based here in the Milwaukee area and it would be great to see something generic to compete with him. Rather than yet another NACHI book, it would be better IMO that it be a book that aims right at the jugular and includes pro NACHI language within the book.

Some way or another I would sure like to participate in this venture and see that the competing books get sold everywhere that Tom goes and at a better price. The idea of a book written by a team of inspectors sounds like an excellent idea.

Thank you David. That is EXACTLY what I wanted to do. Not a NACHI only book, but one that is includes pro-nachi language.

That's why my book isn't finished yet, because I determined a long time ago to not write it myself, but rather be the facilitator of the book. I have had offers for the electrical section, the marketing section, and a few others. If you want to get on board this train it can get moving a whole lot faster.

If Nick will still purchase 50,000+ of them, I am willing to pay each inspector who participates, $5000 for their section of the book. That is based on Nick outright purchasing them from me, and there being a minimum of 50k purchased, plus I'd like to offer a percentage of royalties from the book being put on the open market such as Amazon, etc.

Anyone into this and Nick are you still on board?
