Default I was forced to file a lawsuit against Verizon. I want to explain.

InterNACHI purchased Verizon wireless cards for our staffers a while back and Verizon required that I open the account in my name personally. The cards didn't work and kept knocking us off line. We returned them and cancelled the account but Verizon would not credit us for the cards (about $1,200) and of course I refused to pay the bogus bill for the product/service that didn't work. Months went by and my car dealer discovered that Verizon put the charge into collection and reported this to credit agencies. InterNACHI often uses my personal guarantee to acquire favorable deals (such as http://www.nachi.org/accidentinsurance.htm recently) and these deals are reliant in part on my FICO score. I asked Verizon to correct my otherwise perfect credit report. They ignored my request. So I sued them this week for libel.

Check your credit report regularly for errors. It's a real pain to correct them.

Hey Nick,

You need to get a credit monitoring company like Equifax. They have great features like fraud monitoring and unlimited credit reports.... only about 15 bucks a month. www.equifax.com

It took Dan Harris less than 4-hours to try to discredit you as a person and NACHI as an association!

This from an ex member who was kicked out of a NACHI for a Code of Ethics violation.

Quote: Dan Harris:
Guess an org has to have good credit as well

It looks nickos bad credit caught up with him, ohh well the FREE insurance, another member bennie gone,

What a sec.. Nich I have a suggestion, why don't you just take a 2nd mtg out on the printing business you bought, cut the pay for the race driver of nachos race car, or heck just sell some of the hundredreds of thousands of newspaper boxes that are in front of all realtor offices across the country.

The heck with good credit when nachi members own all those assets.
Then you could pay cash for the insurance,

The insurance program was bought already, http://www.nachi.org/accidentinsurance.htm not affected, no bennies lost, many more coming.

http://www.nachi.org/accidentinsurance.htm in force. I'll donate the $20,000.00 (about what I'll probably get out of Verizon) to InterNACHI.

Verision is a CR*P company, from my experience.

Try AT&T. Better technology, better service (as in "they get it right") and actually provide customer service (who'd a thunk it ).

My only comment, Nick, is shop around a little more, in the future, and only work with reputable companies.

Hope this helps;

It does. I think Verizon will be quite surprised to find a consumer who slaps them with a $75,000.00 suit over an error on his credit report. I suspect their "network" will fix me up pretty quickly

But, remember Nick. All those guys and gals who follow you around, not to mention the trucks and helocopters and heavy equipment (as seen in their ads), do tend to take up a LOT of space. Knowing you, they would tend to cramp your style.

Go AT&T. Just a little card, but is actually works.

Nick, whenever you have a problem with these companies where they don't refund money. File with the BBB immediately. I got 3 months of free DSL and all my money back after verizon screwed up the last time. I also just got a free $600 phone from sprint after filing with the BBB because they screwed up my bill 6 months in a row and I called in every month to get it fixed. I've even had microsoft contact me to fix a BBB complaint I had against them when they were blocking our email for spam. It's amazing what the BBB can do.

Good luck with Verizon!! They came out last week to fix my phone line and disconnected my alarm. I'll be sending them the $150 bill for the alarm guys to come reconnect my system. We'll see how that goes.

To paraphrase Monty Python:

"No one expects the BBB!"

Why pay good money for lawyers when you can get these guys to fight for you.

BBB FU, it works for YOU

Nick..... I want to sincerely THANK YOU for all that you do for NACHI as an Association and for our individual members!

You Da Man!

{Now if you would just keep the low life expelled and banned "Ex-members" like Dan Harris off of this board life would be much sweeter!

$75,000... i'm sure that amount is worth the pain and suffering you endured during this whole ordeal.

And people wonder why insurance is expensive
