Watching it on Netflix now. This is a killer good movie even after all these years and having seen it before.
Don’t forget to follow with The Godfather II. Perhaps the best movie sequel ever made. And personally, I think is better than the 1st.
Both are tremendous films, wish Coppola could have followed up with a good finale, oh well…
The opening shot is 3-minute, computer-controlled zoom into the darkened face of Bonasera. Coppala dropped the cat into Brando’s lap at the last minute.
Notice the lack of music that tells you how to feel that is so prevelant in so many other pictures. The Music in this film is only where the family is having a party.
