Default Governor: Texas Can Leave The Union

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Some people yelled "secede" as Gov. Rick Perry today railed against the U.S. government. Perry appeared at Austin City Hall for an anti-tax "tea party." Perry later told reporters that Texans might get fed up enough to try to leave the union -- but he sees no reason to do so.

After praising veterans in the cheering crowd Wednesday, he said: "I'm just not real sure you're a bunch of right-wing extremists. But if you are, we're with you."

I told my wife yesterday that I wish we were in Texas. Alabama, I guess isn't a bad second choice.

I'm all for it as long as that *** Rick Perry isn't President! So should we leave it one big state or bust it up into 5 different ones as is our option?

I think Perry is driving home the point that the Feds are pushing people
into a corner. This pressure may be just what is needed to force
people out of their chairs and push back.

It's about time.

This problem has been brewing for decades and now with the restraining force of the inept Republican party is gone from the scene, it falls to the people to make their voices heard.

Pay attention people. Your future is at stake.

Thank GOD this has not turned into a Democrat vs. Republican thing. That is NOT what the tea parties stand for. As far as I'm concerned, both parties have taken us down this road, one is just a bit quicker than the other.

This should be an AMERICAN thing. Lets stop writing new laws, and redifining our
sovereignty, or giving it away, and start enforcing the ones we have. The Fed should stop printing money, other wise we are headed for hyper inflation. There are just too many things going on right now that need immediate attention.

The only thing that will cure our ills, is to fire all of the politicians and warn the replacements that they have 90 days to do exactly what they promise or they will be replaced too. Set a 2 term limit, and let the voters decide how much they make, and make all raises performanced based. But the biggest change will be to do away with the two party system completely. Vote on candidates not party. It has been out of hand for a long time, and we have ourselves to blame! Period!
