I use Garmin as well. I am on my second one in 3 years. Garmin's customer service is top notch. My first unit went bad after 2 years. (The old models had a spinning hard drive that was prone to failure.) Mine was out of warrenty so I had to pay to have it fixed. I sent it to them, they fixed it and sent it back. When I received it, it only worked for 1 day and then stopped working again. Well I called then back and for no additional charge Garmin replaced it with a brand new in the box model top of the line model. I did not have to complain one bit, they just offered. With that, I am now a Garmin customer for life.

I have the Garmin Nuvi 360 that I just purchased and I love it. I bought my wife the c330 about 2 years ago and she has not had a problem with it at all. That is why I decided to purchase another Garmin. The Nuvi that I have also has bluetooth which is great because I hate wearing the ear pieces.

I use Dell's NAVTEK system since I already have a Dell PDA so the nav set up was about $200.

Yes. Save your money and buy a map. They worked just fine for Magellen and all those other guys.

Several times now, I have used a map to get real close and then
could not find the street or things got confusing. I flipped on the
GPS (Garmin) wizard.... and pow... there was the voice directed
map showing me the way, just when I needed it.

Sometimes I see what looks simple on a map, and then the GPS
takes me all the way in, if things get complex.

And if I am confused (which I am most of the time)... the GPS
guides me out of the maze of streets to my home again.

It pays for itself.
