I'm staying true to low tech printouts.

I followed the directions explicitly printed the directions and get there eventually.

Isn't is possible to just pull up a location map with your cell phone service provider? IE: Sprint I use that feature often.

I'm currently using VZ Navigator (on my Verizon cell phone) because they only made an initial $10.00 charge and I've been using it for the better part of a year.

Once Verizon gets wise to me i'll upgrade to a true GPS, or buy Tom's unit when he upgrades

I installed a Google Maps on my Treo. I didn't purchase the extra GPS module though. I just type in where I am and where I want to go. It works, plus it's free. One day I'll get a GPS!

John; never tried "GPS Rocks" Where do you get them?

I am currently using Streets and Trips 2007 with my lap top. Big screen, easy to read and see, provides a good view of the general area for orienting and then a close-up for guidance. Used it to get to Florida and back and even used it on the high seas for a trip to St Thomas.

Can't beat it. Very accurate and easy to use.

Same here. I just ordered a TomTom One 3rd addition mainly for the price (180.00 + free shipping, normally 250.00 + shipping) Seems to have good reviews so far. If I get lost I'll send up a flare.

It's actually through Dell but I have a corporate discount available to me. Without the corporate deal I think you can shop around and still get the 180.00 price but add shipping.Try this link for specs.http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/p...9&sku=A1302634

Don't you have to buy an annual subscription to get the updated maps? How much does that cost?
