Anyone know of any specialized training for historic homes?
Had an agent in a nearby town contact me. He is building a list of inspectors to call on. Don’t know why he called me, considering the last count was 18 inspection companies in the town/city he lives in. Regardless…
He was looking for someone that is trained/specializes in historic homes. I have certainly done my share of 100 year old homes and farm houses. While I cannot say I am trained, or specialize in those, I do know my way around one and the often unique characteristics that are present.
The best school available for historic homes is the school of hard knocks. I did this 1912 model last weekend I sure hope Nick does not have to buy it;-)
