Default Re: Home Inspector Brochure

Hello everyone. I would like to introduce myself. My name is Rob Marriott and I am now in charge of customer support at www.HomeInspectorBrochure.com I would like to start by apologizing to Michael Saxton for his bad experience on our site. Michael, if you would like to email me I would be happy to offer you discounts for your inconvenience. We launched HomeInspectorBrochure.com a few months ago and I must admit we had some bugs with the site and we were using a call center to handle our customer support. We have since fixed our glitches and realized the hard way that the customer service needed to be handled 100% internally.

I want to assure everyone that it is our intention to offer home inspectors top quality brochures at the lowest price available. It is true that
Vista print sometimes has specials i.e. very low priced brochures but their regular price is $340 for 1000 brochures. I do not want to bash competitors on here so the only other thing I will say about Vista Print is that they are a huge company with $600+ million in revenues and they have these specials to collect emails for future marketing purposes.

Our price is $149 + $40 shipping and handling for 1000 brochures. We try to make the ordering process as easy as possible. We have three Home Inspector Brochure designs to choose from and we also have pre written text you can choose from if you do not want to write your own copy. If anyone has any suggestions at all on how we can make our site or product better for NACHI members please let me know. It truly is my intention to offer the best quality, customer service and price.

Once again I would like to apologize to Michael and anyone who may have had a bad experience while we worked out kinks. Nick Gromicko and the people at NACHI have been great to us and I want to make sure all members are 110% satisfied. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Why so expensive?

Are they gold lined brochures?

I feel that's pretty cheap compared to local printers around here including staples at between $1.49 and $1.89 per brochure ! And that's even if you supply the design, literature, layout, etc.

Just my two bits.

I print my own and have received many compliments on how nice and professional they look. I don't recommend this to everyone though. You sure don't want them looking "cheap"

$149 is the opposite of expensive. Our brochures are 8.5 x 11, folded, full color on both sides and the highest quality 100 lb. gloss text. We are not talking about photo copying. This is professional printing. We also provide the design and copy. I strongly encourage everyone to check with your local printers and designers and get a quote on designing and printing a 2 sided tri-fold brochure on 100lbs gloss text. Our price is a fraction of what you would paid at your local printer. Please share your findings on here.

My local printer designed and printed mine.

8.5 x 13.5 folded with four panels, full color on both sides and very high quality gloss text with pictures. I'm not sure about the quality of the material, but it's thick and glossy (almost like thin cardboard).

I paid $1100.00 for 10,000.

David...ask him how much 1000 of them would have been .... as HIs we talk about our potential clients not comparing apples to apples....well, you aren't comparing apples to apples.

You are comparing a large run of 10k vs a small run of 1k.......think about that for a second....

Mr. Marriot..how much would 10k cost Mr. Valley..?

Printing is a strange business.....I learned a ton from my local printer in my "other" life....and when you are printing 10k v 1k...there are significant discounts that bring the price per thousand waaaay down.

Just trying to help others that read this thread.....you will always pay more per thousand for printing......the fewer thousands you have printed.

All of you who have posted here concerning this subject all have very good points. I was glad to see this offer come about when it did. I had a printer setup my first brochure for me locally. 500 @ $ 1000.00 and in black and white. I am a customer of Rob and I am very happy with the end products, other than the small ad on back of the business cards. Yes there was a problem with customer service, but as Rob has said. They have made strides to fix it. For HI that are just starting out this is a plus for them. For the HI that are just looking for a better brochure, you have found it.

Quite frankly $1100 is a great price for 10,000 brochures of this quality. Our price for 10,000 would be the safe. It is very true that you see huge discounts on large quantities. In the case of our brochures the discount on 10,000 compares to 1000 is les dramatic because of how very low we have our price for 1000.

I hope everyone enjoys the long weekend. Let me know if you have any questions.

Rob,
apoligy accepted, no problem, I may take you up on the offer in the near future once I start to get down on supply of the overpriced local ones that I purchased.
(Your price is better than theirs)

Rob,

Please give me your price for 10,000. If you can beat my Printer's price, my next order...which is coming real soon...is yours.

I also got my brochure and cards from Rob. I'm very pleased with the quality and price. I didn't like the add on the back of the cards so I paid the extra to leave it off. Still a good price.

Bill,

Is it possible for you to post it for all to view?

David,
I could print the brochures for less than your local printer. The only variable I have going against me is shipping. I would be sending your brochures from florida by DHL. When I get to the office this morning I will price the job including shipping and email you and exact price.
