Facts: President Barack Obama was born in Hawaii which is and was a state at that time. The birth certificate is available online.

I have to confess that I don't fully comprehend this Obama birth controversy.

I was born here. My parents were born in Ireland. My father was a naturalized citizen at the time of my birth. My mother was not.

I have always considered myself a natural born American. And an Irishman by parentage. Apparently the State Departments of both the United States and Ireland agree because I have two passports.

The problem with Obama is not his citizenship.
