Chris,
How about a requirement for all posters is to pass the Ethics Obstacle Course?

This is all great and Members will be policed on spelling, usage of language, context of words, BUT our non_Members ie RHI, jiffy lube and what ever else he comes up with can and will continue to harass attack and cause grief on this board as NON_MEMBERS are not governed by the membership rules.
So untill you remove non-member accounts and have all becomes members of the mesage board this will be a waste except to punish the loyal paying membership.
some how I don't see the benifit in this, Once you control the nonmembers who need to be stopped then peace will follow on the message board.
if you cant control them , why make the members pay for there BS.

William, please correct your spelling and grammar or you will receive "bad boy" points...

Maybe we can't hold these non-members accountable to "membership" rules but we sure as heck can hold them accountable for message board rules. As for the newest point system, a waste of time and resources. Just enforce the rules we have. If it takes time, so be it. Since it seems we can afford someone to scan all the posts now, then give them the authority to delete the posts. If it warrants further action or the posters are found in violation of more serious rules, then forward the information to the Ethics Committee for action

Chris, I love the idea and think it's long over due BUT is there anyway to see where and when the infraction was made ... so each individual can see exactly what they did wrong.

I can't think of an instance where I made an "inappropriate tag" as the private message the system sent me states:

Chris,

It appears that you placed a tag on a thread somewhere that didn't make sense to the IT dept.

I can see it now. Everyone finally getting to see the masked men who were stabbing thread posters in the back with unsigned reputation points.

Wow, that would really stir things up, ayyyy?

It would serve no purpose, except to cause division and strife. IMO

IMO, if technically possible, the reputation option should be disabled for the message board. It serves no purpose period.

A couple of comments:
  1. These new systems don't only affect members—they affect everyone on the board. As you may or may not have noticed, folks like "Will Smith" and "Johnny Appleseed" were banned as part of the system roll-out. RHI and Jiffy Lube were both banned a while ago.
  2. It's not only non-members who are responsible for our multiple-personality problem. For example, "Inspector Inspector" was run by a member.
  3. As for your infraction, Chris, it was probably part of the "last reply wins" thread in not for everyone. I wouldn't worry about it, and I'll probably be manually removing some of the infractions that don't make sense. That said, keep in mind that tags are public no matter what section you add them (shown on http://www.nachi.org/forum/tags). They reflect on the organization as a whole, so we need to be sure that they're professional. A goofy tag once or twice isn't a big deal; insulting another user (member or not) through tags, or leaving obscene tags won't be tolerated, though.
  4. Luv Mom has received quite a few infractions over the past day. We'll see what happens.
Cheers,

True enough, besides it allows one to do what they do best hid in the shadows and fire off reds besides if you post who did it the annomous ones will stop and I really enjoy the laugh when i get them, and mum kinda likes me sometimes, I really dont want to know who it is, when i send reds I sign them so you know when I send it.

My fingers suffer from dyslexia and now your making fun of them, I wonder how that is gonna weigh in on the infractions scale Stephen.

Chris, glad to see that the non_members are being monitored, there more then half the problem for the moment, and like i said once there curtailed the rest will follow,
