I say keep it short and sweet. Oh and thongs are not flip flops and flip flops are not thongs. Flip flops are the things you wear on your feet.

Originally, back in the olden days, what is now referred to as "flip-flops" were called "thongs". To us really old folks, thongs are flip-flops are thongs.
