InterNACHI becomes a BBB Accredited Business.

does that mean members can use the bbb logo?

I really doubt it.

Nope.

You need to pay the local BBB a fee to use that logo…

It’s funny that when I was in the furniture business the BBB came to me and said that our company had been voted the #1 Furniture Store in the city and they wanted to do an article on us. All we needed to to do was become a member of the BBB. SO, I asked how we do that and they said we would need to pay the membership fee of $??? (can’t remember the cost)
At the time the company didn’t want to do it so I declined.

When the article came out there was a different furniture store voted #1!

What a joke!

Don’t get me wrong, i think the BBB is a good thing.

But the way they did that?..give me a break!

Regardless, I would’ve paid the fee and slapped that article right on the front page of my website.

I am confused it says here http://www.bbb.org/denver/business-reviews/professional-organizations/internachi-in-boulder-co-90100886 that ](http://www.bbb.org/denver/business-reviews/professional-organizations/internachi-in-boulder-co-90100886#top)This business is not a BBB Accredited Business. ???

How much is it anyway? I don’t see a price anywhere on their site.

When I had my business in Vancouver, WA. a few years ago, it was something like $500/year.

Ouch!!!

Needless to say, I didn’t see the value in joining.

Customer Complaint History
BBB processed a total of 0 complaints

Nick, Nice!

I’m also a member of BBB with 0 complaints!

Marcel,
Congrats on the zero complaints.
What are the fee’s in Canada?
Jeff

It was $210 + 10.50 GST.

The BBB calls me twice a year and every time they call they say “there were 16 inquiries last month regarding your business”. Why is it always the same BS. I’ts more than $200 a year in Chicago. I think you pay more if you use their logo. I haven’t had 1 person ask me if I was a member.

I use to belong but I got tried of crooked clients threatening me about turning me into the BBB. I have had only one complaint and they handled it poorly. The BBB had me basically convicted before they heard my side of the story. After the truth came out and the arbitrator found me innocent for two reasons, did I get an apology from for the lady at the BBB calling me a crook? No. So every time they call, I tell them the story on what happen. They always promise to have a higher up call me and retrotify the situation. But never get that call. Where do you file a complaint against the BBB?
Also the BBB in this case called it administratively resolved. How about ruled in the company’s favor or the f_cking client is a lier.

It’s updated now

Good for you Nick, Ive been a member since 2004 & have had many clients tell me that being a BBB member was one of the factors in choosing my company.

Although, I think their new grading system sucks. If you notice you have 0 complaints and an A rating. Shouldn’t you have an A+ rating. I have an A- rating. They don’t take into consideration the amount of business one does. I have had 2 complaints in the last 3 years. One went to arbitration & I won. Missed termite damage behind a wall. The other one was a complaint about a bathtub drain stopper that wasn’t working after closing-it did work when I inspected the home. I had it fixed as soon as I found out about it. No questiuons asked, & still it shoes up as complaints.

Most people won’t check out the report though. If they see the BBB logo that’s good enough.

I pay $405.00 a year & plan on keeping my membership for years to come.

They bumped us up to an “A” today.

For those that are hesitating on joining the BBB, I highly recommend that you reconsider. It’s well worth the annual fees that will be easily recouped when clients use your HI services due to your BBB membership.

I’ve had many clients tell me that they hired me due to my BBB status and testimonials.
