Two important steps are necessary to kill these fake "coalitions" before someone takes them seriously. The first is to refuse to recognize them/ join them/participate with them, yourself. The second is to spread the word to as many as you can in your area that this fake "coalition" does not represent anything other than itself.
I believe I understanding your basic meaning, Jim, but the thing is, PHIC is not Fake, and I imagine that other similar coalitions are not fake, as well. They may or may not be composed of a small number of people and they don't represent the entire industry as they purport, and they certainly don't represent NACHI members, but they aren't fake. As I tried to illustrate in my above post, PHIC very much has the ears of state legislators here in PA and they do indeed still have considerable influence.

The loosely knit coalition that apparently was behind the licensing legislation in nearby Maryland (where I"ll be getting my HI license before the end of the year), wasn't fake either. But at least they don't seem to have a mission of attacking NACHI the way PHIC does.

Indeed, they are.

PHIC, like these other phony coalitions, are made up of ASHI members who hold a dual membership with NAHI. They then pretend to be a "coalition" of more than one home inspection association, representing ALL. That is about as fake of a "coalition" as there can be.

There were some NACHI members associated with them also. Wonder if they still are.

Awfully hard to explain affilliation with a group that does not recognize you. Was it a NAHI member with dual membership or something? They never published their names anywhere.
