It's funny, but some people have been complaining that naming an LPD after a state is just plain wrong (by current convention, only SBN (Nuclear missile subs) are named after states. But, one sailor corrected the "journalist" and explained that it was named after the city, not the state.

Gee, you think that a Seaman 1st is smarter than a New York "journalist"?
