mike Boyett has come up with the best verbiage that makes the desired commincation for the ad without being offensive, now let's see where it goes.
The poll questions were not inteded to show all the details of Texas
law, but to highlight of the point that experience is better than
none.

I think we would agree on that and Mr Boyett makes the same point.
Relax.

How the hell would I know what your intent is? I only see what you wrote. What you wrote proves that if you get a license in Texas via sponsorship, you're gonna be pretty experienced.

Which proves my point as to -- why in the world would you want to offend your newly licensed, CMI trained son with this type of ad?

I agree that experience is better.

The ad shows that my sons experience will be good and having
a InterNACHI membership will be even better.

I tell people all the time that all licensed inspector are not the same,
and so do you. That is all the ad is saying.

It depends how you read it and weather you are predisposed to
being offended.

The ad does not offend me.

I am certain that you do not know what I tell people all of the time.

The verbiage in the ad offensive to some people. Mike Boyett has offered a resonable solution.

People cry on this board all the time that members offer no solutions, only complaints.

Well here is a solution.

The ad does make a good point that hiring someone with more experience
is a wise thing to do. It does make a mistake in saying that InterNACHI
requirements are above what a state requires (this does not apply to Texas).
In many states it is true, but not in Texas.

I do know what your web page says...

Certified and approved HUD/FHA 203k Renovation Consultant. Certified Septic Inspector NAWT. Certified Residential Energy Inspector CMC.
Sounds like you do what we all do. You promote your qualifications
are more than just the average inspector. Nothing wrong with that.

I already told you that I agree with Mr Boyett.

Big difference John.

I telll what my credentials are. I don't go into what others are not.

In other words, I don't EVER feel compelled to attack other inspectors, regardless of their credentials.

John M...you are waging a debate on another thread right now regarding a temporarily deleted thread that calls your IR training credentials into question because of the length of time you have been in that business. The very fact that you are having that debate and defending yourself illustrates what John O is saying. To simply attack and belittle you because of the perceived length of time you've been offering IR and IR training is not right. You obviously agree with that, right? I see a direct correlation between the two issues. G'Nite.....

The original post that got deleted said nothing about the length of time
I have been using IR.

One of the posters came on the forum and tried to say I had only
used an IR camera half as long as I really have. I protested that
false assumption.

In regards to the ad, it is intended to promote the InterNACHI inspector
above other inspectors in licensed states. It makes fun of "Billy the
novice". It is not big deal to me because it is directed at a fictional
character to enhance the InterNACHI member.

I am sorry, it is not big deal to me.
