Yes, RR, how dare you HELP convention attendees by giving them a very valuable benefit for FREE!
I paid for SOLUTIONS and modified it for East Coast use and LOVE it. I also note where RR began the thread with a teaser about marketing tools and ideas, and simply added the free library as a bonus. I don't feel cheated or robbed (or that it is worthless) because it took me 7 days of rewrites and modification to make it my own. No convention attendee will be gettting SOLUTIONS-EC (East Coast), just a version they should modify to work for them. Ya know, there are some people you just can't help, even when you go out of your way to try to help them for free. Good luck at the convention, RR! |

My seminar is Saturday at 9:00, and then at 1:00 I'm doing a seminar with Nick Gromicko, Chris Morrell and his sidekick, Tim. Topic is web sites from a marketing/layout/organization and SEO perspective. The four of us have determined that since it's one of the last seminars on Saturday, it will not be well attended. Being proactive in addressing that, I think I heard Nick say that he was going to provide margaritas for everyone. Of course, I might have heard that having had my two requisite margaritas last night.

Every canned report lacks one thing. That is the ability to stand against the attorney for the plaintiff. When you purchase (or receive free) any program which you may modify to your tastes but presents the reporting in a context which has been predetermined by a computer insert formatted response you lose the argument. The reason is because it was not a direct observation. When we observe deficiencies in properties we inspect we should report the findings in a concise, location specific, understandable manner. Decayed trim at south wall doesn't cut it. How about this- Brick mould and door jamb decayed at base of hinge side of rear wall southeast patio cabana bath door. Specificity eliminates liability and creates it simultaneously. If your in this business you need to accept the liability that is part of it. We need to perform our function in such a way to as to bring only good perceptions from the public about our operations and practices. That is why I feel so strongly about partial/incomplete inspections being offerred to clients. While it may be profitable to conduct incomplete survey/glance type inspections it in the long run may become a liability as dissatisfied purchasers line up for media exposure and damage the reputation of our proffession. The SOP'S and COE'S protect us and enable us. The public expects us to adhere to these standards. When we don't, who loses? We do, the full inspection fee. The client, he/she knows less about the property. The seller, based upon a partial assessment, the buyer may have backed out of a transaction which with a more complete understanding they may have completed.

Yesterday was recovery day and Sophie just wouldn't leave me alone. It was obvious she missed me for five days. Nonetheless, cat P or dog P? Which do you prefer? NACHI 2005 U.S. Member of the Year

uhm, niether as far as P is concerned, however dog P does not create the same nasty odor as cat P.
As far as the other 35 P's, are the new ones sub P's (so that would be p's) from the original 5 P's? Then you could name your new PP "the children of P's" |
