McCain is a smart man. He is just realizing that he is going to get crushed when trying to debate Obama.....so he's scared and wants to postpone the inevitable.

One of the funniest interviews ever, no wonder McCain & Company want to insulate Palin from the rest of the world, what a friggin' embarrassment. Though, I'll bet Dan Quayle is relieved not having to carry around the stigma of being the Dumbest Vice Presidential Candidate anymore, Ms. Palin through this interview now holds that coveted title. COURIC: But he's been in Congress for 26 years. He's been chairman of the powerful Commerce Committee. And he has almost always sided with less regulation, not more.
PALIN: He's also known as the maverick, though. Taking shots from his own party, and certainly taking shots from the other party. Trying to get people to understand what he's been talking about — the need to reform government. COURIC: I'm just going to ask you one more time, not to belabor the point. Specific examples in his 26 years of pushing for more regulation? PALIN: I'll try to find you some, and I'll bring them to you. OMG! James H. Not surprising that you Socialists would support increasing regulation.

Gee Joey,
Sounds reasonable to me for the head of the ticket to go first in the debate series. Keep spinning though, it's fun to watch. P.S. I'll be here to clean up after the messes you make. Once this thing has run its course new banking regulations will prevent it from happening again but right now there is nothing to stop the Wall street fatcats and international banking whores under Bush's supervision from raping our nation. We are so screwen! BTW: Nice try to get away from Palin's failure. Wow we agree, the question that needs to be answered is this. How can the American public with no manufacturing base - nothing to sell - continue to buy when they have less and less money because their ability to sell and make money has been taken away from them by their corporate overlords and given to distant places with cheaper labor so that the owners can gain even more by having to share less? But our shortsighted corporate elite have overlooked that fact that Americans with no real appreciable income anymore cannot continue to buy thier made-overseas products here at home. So they devised a credit system that delayed the end result for a few decades so the game could continue. Buy now, pay later was the original slogan. Furniture, appliances, cars clothes and every other thing could now be bought on 'credit'. Most younger people today don't realize credit is largely a relatively new function of the economy. (on the scale it is used today). Now we have come to the end of the road. Everyone is broke. Credit - the false prosperity - has come to a screeching halt because it has to by its own inherent design. This is systemic collapse. Where do we go from here? It all needs to be allowed to collapse and we need to start over, with a sound (gold backed) currency to begin with, a restored manufacturing base, a return to truly free markets, the abolition of the illegal Federal Reserve and the removal of government from every single aspect of business. What right does government have intruding in our business affairs anyway. That was not our founding fathers intent of government. We have separation of church and state but what we really need is separation of business and state. I wonder about the debate in DC
Who has more people fighting againest the bail out, republicans or dems? Who has more people trying to add more money and/or big brother will take care of you language, republicans or dems? Its easy to blame Bush but unfortunatly most the blame layes at the bottom of the barrel. Tell me in the last, say four years (to be fair) the houses have been controlled by both parties, why was nothing done to prevent this issue that everyone and their mother in congress knew about? How much money in the last four years (to be fair) has both parties received from these retarded companies, to further their political careers? As soon as folks see it for what it is and who is to really blame then maybe we can get something done. If a republican in house has been supportive of these companies with out speaking up and knowingly screwing the people, then to the curb they should go! Quite frankly from the title of the thread and numerous posts following, the conversation has been stuck on stupid. I say this because the two biggest debaters in this agree that the bail out sucks! People need to take off the blinders and see it for what it is and who really caused let it happen. |

Oh and one more thing as we continue to blame the wrong people. Has anyone for a moment thought of what this could do to our business and how we should get involved? The housing industry is our business! I can tell you that the way most of these posts are going (me included) there will soon be no way some of us could work together to reach a common goal. Saving our damn businesses! Let me ask you, do you have enough in the bank to save yourself and your business for this long term "not short term" issue? I honestly have enough to last for a "bit" and a wife with a very good career but I can see problems with my side of our income. I am more worried about our brothers who may not have the capital to weather the storm. I realize some are in it for themselves and thinks to "H" with everyone else, and thats fine, I am not addressing you! At least think about the possibilities folks!
