IMHO yes they should

This should be telling!

I notice the dems blaming McCain and have to ask: Other than the press does anyone in the United states actually believe that McCain is the reason nothing has been passed.

Nope

If they do then they are so far in the box they are not worth trying to rescue!
That' s a given

Regardless of what party you belong to the calls being received are 98% against this bill, or as some senator on CNBC said this morning "the calls coming in are 50% / 50%, No! & Hell No!"
Gonna have to be some bend over but the house republicans need to stick to their guns. I personally think the entire senate is a waste of taxpayer money!

The Democrats want this bill really badly.

That either means it's full of goodies for their friends or they see it as a way of consolidating power.

Either way, we have a right to be very suspicious.

Hank Paulson's DNA

WASHINGTON -- Eyebrows at the Treasury were raised last Tuesday when Secretary Henry M. Paulson Jr. named a major Democratic fundraiser to an important advisory role. On the next day, eyebrows were still elevated when Under Secretary Robert K. Steel participated in an event spearheaded by Bill Clinton's two Treasury secretaries
............
In his third try, Bush found the heavyweight Treasury secretary he desired in multi-millionaire investment banker Paulson. The tradeoff is that the former Goldman Sachs CEO does not act or sound much like a conservative Republican to the GOP remnant at the Treasury. "It's not in Hank Paulson's DNA," one official told me. Is he loyal to Bush? "Hank is for Hank," he replied.
