Mice Nests - How to get rid of the smell?

Is there any way to get rid of mice fecal and urine smells short of completely gutting a basement?

A home had a number of mice nests which are now all gone but the smell remains. If the urine is in wall studs or duct work, how can you get rid of that smell?

Home owner has already tried 2 pest control companies without luck.

Try a restoration company. They have chemicals that even get rid of the smell after a fire. Maybe they have some thing for your problem. You might also look into a janitorial supply.
