Received my email response today...
Hi Jeffrey, Sorry to disappoint, but we do not have leads in your area. I will be certain to contact you when that changes. Thanks, Brian K. Long, President First Movers Advantage, LLC No surprise to me, as I have already discovered the lack of coverage in my area on other sites, such as Trulia, Zillow, Melissa, etc... Jeff Jeffrey R. Next Steps:
Now that you have your first Inspection Lead list, it is time to think about next steps. As we all know, the market is moving really slow right now and we all need to work harder to get each new job. Accordingly, you will need to 'work your list' over time to get the best results. Multiple mailings to the same household will pay off for you. Here are a few thoughts for you to consider: 1) Be sure to include the InterNACHI and MoveInCertified logos (available at http://www.nachi.org/logos.htm) in your letter. They show credibility and your commitment to your trade. 2) Print a second set of the labels and apply a post-it note with a reminder to mail the list again in the first week of January. 3) Expect to get mail pieces returned to you as vacant or undeliverable. This is a normal part of direct mail. Be sure to 'cross-out' the returned labels on the list for January's mailing. Nobody wants to spend money on repeat mailings to vacant homes. If you feel that your message is getting lost in the 'junk mail', you may also consider alternative delivery methods: 1) Purchase some plastic 'door-hanger' bags and stuff them with your marketing materials. 2) Keep your prospect list handy and drop off materials when you are in their neighborhood. Note that it is a violation of USPS rules to put your materials in their mailbox. Likewise, do not use the newspaper delivery box (if they have one) because your material may get tossed with the rest of the newspaper inserts and advertisements. You should hang your materials on the front door knob for the best visibility. 3) Or, hire a local high school kid to hang them on the doors for you. 4) Spare time? Ring the doorbell and introduce yourself. You can also offer observations from your 'curbside inspection' of the home. Please experiment with different ideas and report back here with your victories. As a group, we can create new 'best practices' for your marketing success! |

How many of you are aware that this is a fee-based service that is looking for members to subscribe to it...after providing their first few leads for free?

Jim, if it works, nobody cares if there is a small fee for more.
And if it doesn't work, nobody will want any more anyway. Why do you think I got each InterNACHI member the first batch of 250 for FREE? I know, I know, you're amazed at how I think things out. Anyway, nothing is free, somebody paid for InterNACHI members to EACH get up to 250 free.
