I've never seen anyone have much success with this other than those who follow my instructions on page 17 of this thread, post #253. I used to do exactly that and got many inspection jobs using that exact advice.

I sent out mailers the same day I recieved the list of 250. They contained the proposed letter, my brochure and my card. I have section on my website devoted to the Move-in-Certified. 25 letters came back as undeliverable. NOT ONE PHONE CALL 2 weeks later. This seems like a no brainer but the people here in Portland just won't bite. I don't get it.

Marketing directly to homeowners seems like a 'no-brainer' to all of us. You should be getting better results from your direct mail efforts.

The obvious question would be that if they needed a home inspector, where would be the most likely place they would look. Internet, agent, friend, phone book, papers? Also, what types of mail pieces are they opening, like postcards? Maybe brochure type mailing? See what I'm getting at?
