Ahh...good point. I wasn't trying to bash the idea. I was more speculating that this is a one time offer, i.e. you get whatever is available right now then sign up for future updates, right?

Well, I haven't given it much thought, but I'm running my own market tests. If I succeed at generating actual inspection jobs (as opposed to just leads), I'm going to run a parallel continental operation from here and set up dispatching to our members. I meet with a Fortune 500 company on Dec 10-11 to negotiate their participation and funding of the project. If it fails, we've lost nothing but my time. If it succeeds, we'll forever suck more than 1/2 the inspection out of the market before non-members even get to smell them.

I'm kinda swingin' for a home run here.

I believe "up to" was in the original wording.
As a good gesture / marketing move, however, I've been promised the balance of the 250 as they become available.
Can't speak for Erby, though.

My vote is to give this guy a chance- He's real attentive and responsive, and not what we typically shun in a "vendor"

I'm validating the list I received by calling several of the listed names. I don't intend to spend much time on this but of the 7 folks I've attempted to contact so far I got thru to one of them. They had recently sold a home and had gone under contract on another one Thanksgiving week. They have my name if they decide to get an inspection on the new one. The other 6 were 2 no answer, 2 no listing in phone book, 1 answering machine, 1 disconnected. I can't tell just yet how valid the list is but I'll try again over the weekend to contact several more of the listed names.

I'm thinking that I may actually be at an advantage, not getting the full 250, but the balance promised.
The new leads that come may be fresher than the ones that have been "accumulated."
It will be interesting to see if the return on the newer ones, as they arrive, are better than the ones mailed this AM.
