[quote=jmichalski]Russ - no offense to you, but you are on the payroll. I am hardly surprized by your "trust" in and support of Nick and NACHI with unwavering loyalty.

Joe, no offense to you, but you don't have all the facts.

I'm not on the payroll, and am not a NACHI employee.

I hold several positions in NACHI, all voluntary and unpaid.

I am one of several members who take time from our own inspection businesses to go, when asked, to chapter meetings and give presentations.

They usually take 3 days of my schedule. I receive moderate compensation, as a contractor, to do this. I could be making far more money if I was attending to inspections on those days.

My support of NACHI is not because I travel around, representing this organization. Conversely, I travel around because I believe in, and support, NACHI.

My loyalty to NACHI does not preclude me from speaking up about things I believe in that could use some changes or modifications. Some I mention on the Board, some I write to HQ, some I write to Nick.

Is any organization perfect? no. It's just not in my nature to rant continuously, as some are prone to do. I throw in my 2 bits, and let them be heard. Life goes on. Either I like the results, or I don't. Either I stay with an organization, or I don't.

But, that's just me. I've fought for and against so many things in my life that I have now chosen the Path of Least Resistance.

I'm a firm believer in the ELF Principle:
Easy
Lucrative
Fun

If one of those features are missing in any aspect of my life, I look to see how it can be re-instated.
If it can't be, then screw it, it's time to leave that job / organization / relationship / whatever.

So, yes, I have loyalty, but it is far from blind - or bought.

This is all I meant.

I also speak out when I see things that are wrong or can be improved.

NACHI does not need my cheerleading - ther are plenty of rah-rah types for that. It does very much need some constructive criticism in specific areas and I offer it.

To the extent that it meets with resistence (and derision) from the officers and founders, it may appear to be a rant since it is often repeated and consistent.

Many who only know me through the BB may not know that I am actually a very laid back guy - but I am professionally very driven. I see potnetial here at NACHI, but an unwillingness to fulfill it and that is a waste in my opinion.

Back on topic - I see the same potential in CMI, but an unwillingness to pursue it - therefore, I speak out.

This is all I think I will post on this thread since we are beating a dead horse and things will not change.

Joe B - I agree entirely.

Time will be better spent elsewhere.

JM,
Ever heard of beating a dead horse? Can you imagine it falling on deaf ears? I applaud you for trying, but it is really pointless.

And there is a point to hawking the BB of an organization that you were kicked out of?

That's the reason I deleted the post. Who's the moron who breathed new life in to this very dead horse?
