New construction home sales up slightly.

The Census Bureau reported an annual sales rate of 300,000 new homes in March. That was an 11% increase from February's all-time low of 270,000.

Is this good, bad or both or neither? One of the hardest hit areas in the Portland metro area is really going at it with three different builders for a total of over 200 houses. The area is Happy Valley which was called Death Valley after 2007. It was over built and values plummeted but they see something there.
