Unless I get ALL the info in GREEN at the bottom of www.nachi.org/form.htm I don't announce and I never announce intentions... only scheduled meetings. Also, any member can form a chapter.

Carla, this is your cue, you should start a New hampshire chapter, I know you have the respect and support of our New Hampshire members, I know many would be happy to assist you with this.

It is vital at this time when licensing is being discussed to have someone who is representative of our members to step up to the plate.

Angry Re: NH chapter

Carla,

I have just gone through my e-mail log and see that I have sent you 23 different
e-mails to keeping you informed about our fight to defeat NEW HAMPSHIRE
House Bill 642. as well as keeping you informed of the formation of a NH chapter.
Henry Finzel, Marcus Hutnick and I have all tried to keep you up to date and have invited you to meet with us for our informal meetings of New Hampshire Based Home Inspectors. In all we estimate that you and all New Hampshire Based Home Inspectors that have bothered to respond have received somewhere from 80 to 120 e-mails on this subject.

I have sent Nick Gromicko, Aimee Jalowsky and Kay Drauer, many, many e-mails keeping them up to date on our struggle to defeat this poorly written, biased piece of legislation written by a Real Estate agent that had 4-5 ASHI inspectors as his “Advisors”.

Our New Hampshire database of Home Inspectors includes several engineers, educators / teachers, Long Established Home Inspectors {Both ASHI & NACHI} as well as inspectors that are just starting out. We had NO OFFICIAL VOICE to defend us. We asked for volunteers to start up a NH NACHI Chapter. Two people said that they would. AFTER ONE VERY LONG MONTH NOTHING HAPPENED!
Look what it cost us!

Due to the lack of a NEW HAMPSHIRE BASED “Official Voice” for NACHI ALL NEW HAMPSHIRE BASED Home Inspectors are at risk of being out of business.

{NOTE; MANY NH BASED NACHI HOME INSPECTORS ENCOURAGED ME TO CONTINUE OUR EFFORTS TO DEFEAT THIS BILL. MANY ASKED WHY NACHI DID NOT HAVE A CHAPTER IN NH. Many asked me to start a chapter. I EXPLAINED THAT I DID NOT WANT TO “STEP OUT OF LINE” AND AT THIS TIME SINCE NACHI HAD NO OFFICIAL STATE CHAPTER I HAD BETTER ASK NICK FOR HIS ADVICE.}

Carla, As to the formation of a NACHI Chapter. I am sending you ANOTHER Copy the letter that I sent to Nick and all NEW HAMPSHIRE BASED home inspectors that have responded to our many, many e-mails on this matter.

To Nick Gromicko Founder of The National Association of Certified Home Inspectors
Hi Nick!
Last March {2005} I spoke before the New Hampshire Judicial Committee against this bill. I have been fighting against it ever since. Gerry Beaumont was present, and asked me to start a NH NACHI chapter. I explained that I thought it was a GREAT idea and that the New Hampshire based Home Inspectors certainly needed an "Official Voice" to fight for them but that I was a "Full Time" inspector and that there were not enough hours in the day for me to do this.
Since December 01, 2005 I have virtually "shut down" my inspection business so that I might devote all of my waking hours into stopping this bill. It has turned into a "Full Time, Non Paying Job" but I realize that I have a choice. I can lose a month's wages, or I can have a life time of work, decades of specialized education and decades of expertise erased / nullified by this poorly written and probably illegal bill.
Naturally I bit the bullet and chose the short road to misery instead of the long road to financial ruin. It has been, and continues to be, a tough battle.
During all of this “net working” I have had several New Hampshire based inspectors ask me to start a NH NACHI chapter.

Sincerely, Frank Carrio

Nick responded with information as how to proceed with the formation of a New Hampshire of NACHI.

ONCE AGAIN, I REITERATE THAT I have sent Nick Gromicko, Aimee Jalowsky and Kay Drauer, many, many e-mails keeping them up to date on our struggle to defeat this poorly written, biased piece of legislation written by a Real Estate agent that had 4-5 ASHI inspectors as his so called “Advisors”.

NOTE:
The information for this meeting to defeat NEW HAMPSHIRE house bill 642 was sent to the NEW HAMPSHIRE home inspectors database.
In order to order and pay for the dinner, plus book a meeting room large or small enough to accommodate all attendees, all were asked {you included} to RSVP their acceptance or to decline in writing.

Marcus Hutnick and Henry Finzel Jr. graciously took on this task.

In order to refresh your memory here is a copy of your response.

Sent to Frank Carrio, 01-25-2006 @ 8:29 AM.
Frank,
Just a quick note.
I think that it is unfortunate that the pursuit of power takes precedent over friendship.
Good luck with your endeavors.
I will not be able to attend the meeting next week, don't forget the pledge of allegiance!

Dear Frank,
You have chosen not to post here and that is fine.(until this one)
You make mention of all of your emails, and you selectively
choose which ones you want people to read.Why don't you
post the lovely emails here that you sent to Susan. (a north country
member) or the extra large font with red all through it (screaming)
that you sent to me. (now there's a person to lead)
I have been posting here for 3 or more years and I don't
need your lousey attitude brought here. This forum is for learning
and comraderie. I actually feel like I have made alot of friends here.
Every other chapter formed has anounced the formation here,
you did not, and still have not.
There are hundreds of people from all over the state working on this
bill. We just choose to conduct ourselfs in a more professional manner.
You are not the only voice in this state, Frank.
Get over yourself!
I for one would love to be a member of a chapter but not with you
at the helm.
In closing, we are in the NH leg. update thread, of which I volunteered
a year ago to update the members with NH legislation
The update is
A public hearing on Feb 14 10:00 room 306 at the Legislative office building
in Concord. Come and voice your opinions and watch the Frank show!
Thats my update for now

BTW,
sending emails to Nick about HB642 has absolutely nothing to
do with the formation of a NH Chapter which as I said before
was not posted and as Nick said unless it is for real he does
not announce intensions.

{Carla, I had no idea that the use of a red, blue, or purple font, meant that a person was SCREAMING!!!!! Maybe YOU got your Doctorate in Psychology at some Medical School that I am unaware of}

I have been posting here for 3 or more years and I don't need your lousey attitude brought here. This forum is for learning and comraderie. I actually feel like I have made alot of friends here.

{Carla, as to you mention of camaraderie, I have seen some of your POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL replies to other NACHI members. I see that there are several replies to your posts where the respondents were clearly upset with you. }

Every other chapter formed has anounced the formation here, you did not, and still have not.

{Carla, I have sought Nick Gromicko’s advise, permission, and professional guidance in our efforts to stop NEW HAMPSHIRE house Bill 642. I have sent many, many e-mails to Nick, Aimee Jalowsky, and Kay Drauer about this matter in particular and in the matter of forming a NACHI chapter. I HAD NO IDEA THAT I WAS REQUIRED TO POST IT ON THIS MESSAGE BOARD. IF I HAD KNOWN IT WAS A REQUIREMENT, I WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE THAN HAPPY TO. PLEASE NOTE: The caps DO NOT indicate YELLING OR SCREAMING!!!!}

{Carla, Thank you for this Professional, unbiased advice.}

In closing, we are in the NH leg. update thread, of which I volunteered a year ago to update the members with NH legislation

{Carla, Yes you did volunteer to keep the NEW HAMPSHIRE based home inspectors updated on this legislation. WHAT HAPPENED?

Henry Finzel, Marcus Hutnick and I have all tried to keep you up to date and have invited you to meet with us for our informal meetings of New Hampshire Based Home Inspectors.

On several occasions I have asked Mr. Hutnick and Mr. Finzel Jr. if they had heard from you. On all occasions the Reply was the same. “No she does not answer my e-mails or my phone calls. I guess that she is just too busy.”

Crals, the “Bottom Line” is this……..

Nick Gromicko has been kept informed every step of the way.
Nick, Aimee, and Kay have been sent messages on every NEW development.
Nick Gromicko has blessed this event.
YOU {Carla Horn} have been informed every step of the way.
YOU have chosen not to participate.
YOU HAVE BEEN INFORMED OF THE TIME. AND THE LOCATION OF THIS MEETING. YOU DECLINED TO COME!
YOU KNOW FULL WELL THAT THE AGENDA IS TO DISCUSS NEW HAMPSHIRE HOUSE BILL 642!
Now YOU are spreading rumors and innuendo.
I TAKE DEEP OFFENSE AT YOUR GROUNDLESS AND DISPARAGING INSINUATIONS!
WHAT A CRYING SHAME!

NOTE:

I am VERY sorry that YOU CHOSE to air your dirty laundry in a PUBLIC & NATIONAL forum.

It is my opinion that it was petty and unprofessional. I feel that in doing so you have DESTROYED your credibility, not mine!

I DO NOT LIKE TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS TYPE OF “HE SAID, SHE SAID, WE SAID TYPE OF MUD SLINGING.

BUT I ALSO REFUSE TO LAY DOWN AND TAKE ANY MORE ABUSE!
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

PS:
There is an old remedy for “SOUR GRAPES”;
WASH THEM DOWN WITH SOME CRYBABY SOUP, AND ACCOMPANY IT WITH SOME WWAAAAA WWAAAAA CRACKERS!

AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED I HAVE NO NEED, OR DESIRE TO EVER SEE YOU OR HEAR FROM YOU AGAIN. YOU ARE JUST ONE MORE DISTRACTION FROM HOUSE BILL 642.

I HOPE FOR YOUR SAKE YOU DO NOT ESCALATE THIS ATTACK.

Have a Nice day,

Warmest Regards, Frank Carrio

PS:

1. THE USE OF RED, BLUE, AND OR PURPLE FONTS IS NOT “SCREAMING”
2. THE USE OF ALL “CAPS” IS NOT SCREAMING!!!!!!!!

Exclamation Re: NH chapter

Hi To All!
In regards to the forming of a New Hampshire Chapter of The National Association of Certified Home Inspectors NACHI, Here is why you have not seen any information on the NACHI website. We did not have 45-days to advertise the formation of this chapter.

Right now there is a poorly written biased, and dangerous NEW HAMPSHIRE HOUSE BILL 642 that is a threat to all NEW HAMPSHIRE based Certified Home Inspectors. We are in danger of losing our LEGAL RIGHT to conduct home inspections

This is why after sending out more than 600-emails in a 45 day period and receiving many, many requests to form a chapter, I finally agreed to ask Nick Gromicko Founder of the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors for his advice and or recommendation as to whether he thought we should form a NACHI chapter for the purpose of speaking with an "Official Voice" instead of just "going it alone."

PLEASE NOTE: I have been in touch with Nick. Aimee, and Kay. I and at least three other inspectors have “copied” our e-mails to ALL New Hampshire Certified and Uncertified Home Inspectors that bothered to respond. This has not been "a secret".

The food has been ordered and the size of the meeting room has be set up according to the 20-Home Inspectors that have sent in their RSVP.
Once again this invitation was sent out to ALL New Hampshire Based Home Inspectors more than once.

We will be discussing NEW HAMPSHIRE House Bill 642.

OUR NEXT MEETING WILL BE SOME TIME THIS EARLY SPRING OR EARLY SUMMER.

IT WILL BE ADVERTISED 60- TO 45 DAYS IN ADVANCE. WE WILL MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO HAVE IT POSTED ON THE NACHI NATIONAL WEBSITE. At the next meeting and all subsequent meetings we will discuss a broad range of issues, have technical speakers, door prizes, and everything else that you would expect at a typical NACHI meeting. ALL MEMBERS & NON-MEMBERS ARE INVITED AND WELCOME!

I am enclosing a small section from the NACHI website that contains rules and regulations as to the procedures as outlined by NACHI.

In closing I add that WITH ALL DUE RESPECT the reason that I have not been on the Message Board web site is that I did not want to be distracted from fighting HB642.

As it is, I have wasted more than 4.75 hours refuting false information. All this has done is to distract me from working against this bill and from paying attention to establishing an agenda for this meeting.

We have a New Hampshire State Representative that has sent in her RSVP.

Several NH Based Home Inspectors and I are working feverishly to COMPLETE everything that is necessary for this meeting.
That being said, Bye for now…
Sincerely, Frank Carrio
