If obama wins, it will just prove that smart people are now out numbered by the idiots! obama is running a slick game, if you can't get the votes you need, hire alcoholics, drug addicts and homeless people to make them up! Kind of makes you wonder if he hasn't rigged the phone lines to forward all calls to his offices for the polls.

I like the way you blame Bush for everything, then take his power away when it suits your arguments!

I didn't want to crush their hopes & dreams but I agree... Stick a fork in it, the race is over. Tomorrow night will be like a wake where the Republican Campaign 2008 is laid to rest. Honestly I believe that Palin is the single most detrimental decision of the whole campaign she has become an albatross around McCain's neck. Had he picked Romney the outcome might have been much different.

That makes sense. You vote for Nobama while claiming to hold on to
your gun like your Charleston Heston. Try quoting Pee Wee Herman,
it is more like your hero... Mr. Baby Face Obama

As poorly worded this poll is and one-sided this poll was intended to be....has anyone else noticed how almost half of those intending to vote for McCain have to "give up their convictions" in order to do so?

How sad, but it says so much.

At least they are honest, not like those who hate what Obama stands for,
but will vote for him anyway.

If you love him, tell us why you will vote for a registered socialist.

That you apparently lied in your vote bothers me

Well, you have three weeks to get used to the idea....then to be the patriot you claim to be and stand behind your new president. I know you will do the right thing.

Have any of you brave selfless Republicans saved anyone from voting for the Boogeyman today? I didn't think so. All you can do is attempt to instill fear or use intimidation to win converts to your old white haired candidate, WTF did I hear that before? Oh yeah, I remember now... Church.

It is important to note this poll keys on independent voters. Everyone knows the poll percentage numbers between Democrats and Republicans is unlikely to change between now and the election. It is sure gonna be tough to get the stench of Bush out of your campaign regardless of how much cheap Palin perfume you use.

==================================================

Poll: Obama Opens 14-Point Lead On McCain

CBS News/New York Times Survey Shows Major Swing Among Independents, Suggests McCain's Strategy May Be Hurting Him
Oct. 14, 2008

(CBS) Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama is entering the third and final presidential debate Wednesday with a wide lead over Republican rival John McCain nationally, a new CBS News/New York Times poll shows.

The Obama-Biden ticket now leads the McCain-Palin ticket 53 percent to 39 percent among likely voters, a 14-point margin. One week ago, prior to the Town Hall debate that uncommitted voters saw as a win for Obama, that margin was just three points.

Among independents who are likely voters - a group that has swung back and forth between McCain and Obama over the course of the campaign - the Democratic ticket now leads by 18 points. McCain led among independents last week.

McCain's campaign strategy may be hurting hurt him: Twenty-one percent of voters say their opinion of the Republican has changed for the worse in the last few weeks. The top two reasons cited for the change of heart are McCain's attacks on Obama and his choice of Sarah Palin as running mate.
