Sales taxes in Kansas go up 1% July 1, 2010. City, county, and state wide sales taxes will total 10% in some areas. I will go to Missouri to save money on purchases. So will many others who live close to state lines.

Welcome to the new world. You will not be able to escape rising taxes, fees, insurance rates, heath care increases, etc. This will only inhibit people from purchasing big ticket items, and hurting the economy, and us, more. I sense $5 gas soon.

Just wait until the stimulus money runs out for every state next year. I predict that all taxes will skyrocket.
