There is much good about NACHI but we can be much better; you had some valid points; lets attack them with action.

Doing it....but it takes more than just one voice.

We are home inspectors and what we do, best, is report defects and recommend that they be repaired. Nick, like any buyer, has the right to follow our advice or to ignore it....he can fix it or not....but covering it up with paint is not going to work if we continue to call it out.

NACHI can be better and, as you point out so well, we can do it.

As I said in an earlier post, while Nick and I continued to disagree on certain issues, we agree with each other (and with you) that there is much good about NACHI, as well. While preserving the good points and attending to the defects, we will have a very strong house.

We must start by fighting censorship.

If moderating the message board means that a banned poster will not be allowed to post, it protects us. If it means that someone can eliminate a post from a member or non-member who is not banned based upon his own taste, views, or judgment....then it is censorship and it is wrong, IMO.
