Oh, piffle, it all first comes down to securing your market against your competition and you know it, everything else is like pissing in a dark suit, it feels good and no one else really notices.

Nope. Obviously, neither could 2/3 of those who were licensed last year in Illinois.

It was the (a little bit more) than 2/3rds (38% renewed) who couldn't cut it. Almost all of them were only one license term isnepctors (2 years or less), part-timers and, from my experience in trying to help a number of them, just guys who didn't have what it takes. Whiners. Guys who, after earning their license, just sat back and waited for the phone to ring, who didn't know how to run a business, some were 45 minute, issue a checklist report, on-site, for a $150 inspection that did not meet the state standards. No web site, no business plan and they were not committed. You blame licensing. I blame the licensee. You, Jim, are a good and professional inspector. You could, easily, do better than these guys. You work at it. These guys just sit back and expect the world to come to tyheir door. Then, when they fail, they blame everyone but themselves. You are not that kind of man, Jim. You work at it and take your profession seriously. Get my point?
