Prospecting for Future InterNACHI Members

It was once said by Nick himself I do belive (could be wrong) that every member of NACHI is automatically a member of Internachi. Look it up.

As I am thinking about it I belive it is on this new BB as well as in the archives.

No extra NEW benefits, charging for something we already have, sounds suspicious.

It's not like everything has been hashed out yet. If you have faith in NACHI thenwait and see. I believe that INTERNACHI will surpass my expectations in a short amount of time. Be optimistic. One benefit for me will be better representation for us Canadians. CAHPI will be wishing that they have half the members that we do in 2 years. Have faith. Aimee has done us proud so far and will continue to do so.

I think that the point here is that we are all members of Internachi already and the benefits will be automatically accorded to us with membership in Nachi. While I agree that a Canadian identity is required in Nachi I believe that with leadership focusing on Canada is the answer. With the Convention coming to Toronto next May and most of the work already done by Tyrone Wheeler and Deanna Willis as well as the group that was asked to help out with the Convention I have to focus my help and support behind NACHI CANADA and see what happens.

Well said Todd. Thanks for the support. It looks as if some are missing the point on "additional benefits". Yes, you have all of these benefits through NACHI, but only to a certain degree. Don't you think it would be nice if you had room to improve on what you already have?

This is messed up. It's another money grab. Sorry....but that's just the way it looks.

Let's not be so hasty Wendy. You are not being told NO to anything. And NO I'm not the InterNACHI logo police. Like I said before, this is an investment for us as inspectors and the industry. Not a "money grab" as you so eloquently put it. All I'm asking is for us to put a little faith in expanding globaly.

Dale, I guess what we are all getting at is: why?

What do you have to offer to US-based inspectors who have no international clients and are unlikely to ever have any (that is not already covered by NACHI)?

The message board may be a net positive, but from the Canadian threads I have seen, I believe they may get overrun with canadian-specific info or international rules and regs which do not apply to us in the US.

Marketing ideas are great. As are discounts. Will these be substantially different from those offered to NACHI members?

I am not trying to deflate you before you get started, but what I think people are driving at is "Why should I (here in the US) join?"

i.e.: What is different and/or better about internachi? Where is the value or ROI?

It requires some salesmanship, and it appears some are asking to be sold on the idea.

Honest Dale. I don't have any problem parting with $50 if I can see where my money is going and why. Like most here. Just asking for the extra money and faith I think is getting a bit thin around here, and I'm sure I've contributed to that. It's understandable.

I appreciate your answer and explaination, although I suspect ( ) you are mocking me. (ie;eloquently)
