I sucked it up and watched it. Yep, it quite aptly highlights the GOP's double standard. Karl Rove's spin on the numbers is politician doublespeak is classical.
BTW, are all of you Obamamites going to continue to ignoring all of the Obama/ DNC doublespeak? |

Mike, do you feel "slandered"? I pointed out that there are people who condone killing other people, yet refer to their world view as "Pro-Life". They justify criminal executions because "the government sanctions it"...and oppose those other government sanctioned forms of killing because...well...they just do. That is hypocritical. James H. To them (us), the hypocrisy of those who pick and choose what life they personally consider to be sacred is impossible to relate to. As to war...the Bible and our country makes that a matter of personal choice. One may declare an objection based on conscience (conscientious objector) and refuse to bear arms...or one may fight and kill in a war that is considered "just". No official "right or wrong" either way. As one who chose to serve (with a son who made the same choice) I resent to hear the drunken shouts of the bear-slinging macho "powder puffs" who never served...but want to say what "we" should be doing in Iraq and what "we" should be doing in other places of the world. Those who choose to serve and have carried their share of the burden for what "we" have done for our country have earned the right to be called "we". Those who choose otherwise should refrain from the use of that word, and say what "the U.S." should do in that regard. To avoid military service...and proclaim what "we" should do regarding matters of war, is also hypocritical IMO. James H. Bushart Professional Building Analyst, BPI Missouri, Kansas and Arkansas 314-803-2167 Inspecting in Aurora, Branson, Carthage, Granby, Joplin, Kimberling City, Monett, Mount Vernon, Neosho, Nixa, Purdy, Reed Spring, Republic, Springfield and surrounding areas. One could make the case that killing in war is wrong because of the possibility that innocents could be killed. but your not making that case. What makes taking the life of an enemy combatant or innocent in war right and the taking the life of a murderer wrong? Can a soldier who takes life in combat be pro-life by your reckoning or would he be a hypocrite?
