Update: 1% TAX ON BANK TRANSACTIONS
That's one percent IN and one percent OUT Subject: 1% tax on all bank transactions HR4646 Watch for this AFTER November elections; remember this BEFORE you VOTE in case you think Obama's looking out for your best interest. 1% tax on all bank transactions HR 4646 This government just cannot think of enough ways to hurt the American people! I sure hope this dies!!!! FORWARD THIS TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW! ANOTHER NEW OBAMA TAX SLIPPED IN WHILE WE WERE ASLEEP. Checked this on snopes, it's true! Check out HR 4646. President Obama's finance team is recommending a one percent (1%) transaction fee (TAX). Obama's plan is to sneak it in after the November elections to keep it under the radar. This is a 1% tax on all transactions at any financial institution - banks, credit unions, savings and loans, etc. Any deposit you make, or even a transfer within your account, will have a 1% tax charged. If your paycheck or your social security or whatever is direct deposit, it will get a 1% tax charged for the transaction. If your paycheck is $1000, then you will pay Obama $10 just for the privilege of depositing your paycheck in your bank. Even if you hand carry your paycheck or any check into your bank for a deposit, 1% tax will be charged. You receive a $5,000 stock dividend from your broker, Obama takes $50 just to allow you to deposit that check in the bank. If you take $1,000 cash to deposit at your bank, 1% tax will be charged. Mind you, this is from the man who promised that, if you make under $250,000 per year, you will not see one penny of new tax. Keep your eyes and ears open, you will be amazed at what you learn about this guy's under-the-table moves to increase the number of ways you are taxed. Oh, and by the way, you receive a refund from the IRS next year and you have it direct deposited or you walk in to deposit that check, you guessed it. You will pay a 1% charge of that money just for putting it in your bank. Remember, any money, cash, check or whatever, no matter where it came from, you will pay a 1% fee if you put it in the bank. Some will say, oh well, it's just 1%. Are you kidding me? It's a 1% tax increase across the board. Remember, once the tax is there, they can also raise it at will. And if anyone protests, they will just say, "oh,that's not really a tax, it's a user fee"! Think this is no big deal? Go back and look at the transactions you made from last year's banking statements. Then add the total of all those transactions and deduct 1%. Still think it's no big deal??? http://www.snopes.com/politics/taxes/debtfree.asp CMI, CPI, KS #0110-0094 Termite #16601 KS Radon #KS-MS-0027 BBB A+ Accredited Business Serving the Greater Kansas City Metro Area Eastern Kansas/Western Missouri http://www.metrospeckc.com "If opportunity doesn't knock, build a door"--Milton Berle |

Here is more.
Will You Sell Your House after 2012? The National Association of REALTORS is all over this and working to get it repealed, before it takes effect. But, I am very pleased we aren't the only ones who know about this ploy to steal billions from unsuspecting homeowners. How many REALTORS do you think will vote Democratic in 2012? Did you know that if you sell your house after 2012 you will pay a 3.8% sales tax on it? That's $3,800 on a $100,000 home, etc. When did this happen? It's in the health care bill and goes into effect in 2013. Why 2013? Could it be to come to light AFTER the 2012 elections? So, this is "change you can believe in"? Under the new health care bill all real estate transactions will be subject to a 3.8% Sales Tax. If you sell a $400,000 home, there will be a $15,200 tax. This bill is set to scam the retiring generation who often downsize their homes. Does this make your November and 2012 vote more important? Oh, you weren't aware this was in the Obamacare bill? Guess what, you aren't alone. There are more than a few members of Congress that aren't aware of it either http://www.gop.gov/blog/10/04/08/obamacare-flatlines-obamacare-taxes-home CMI, CPI, KS #0110-0094 Termite #16601 KS Radon #KS-MS-0027 BBB A+ Accredited Business Serving the Greater Kansas City Metro Area Eastern Kansas/Western Missouri http://www.metrospeckc.com "If opportunity doesn't knock, build a door"--Milton Berle Last edited by gfarnsworth; 8/22/11 at 9:33 AM.. |

I knew this may have been around for a while, but a reminder to some of these "change we can believe in" items are not in our best interest. Perhaps we can then charge the banks $3 for waiting in teller window lines, $5 for gas usage waiting in drive-in lines, $10 per month for us being their customer, charge the federal government $500 to $1,500 for time spent on filling out tax returns, etc.
Cash will perhaps now be hoarded, and banks will then be by-passed. These days there are innumerable rumors circulating around the internet. Both Factcheck.org, Snopes and Politifact Oregon have debunked this myth, with Politifact Oregon calling it a “pants on fire lie”
