What is a good service area? What do you charge for traveling outside of this area?
I was thinking of a 25 mile radius. |

Set your area as large as you need to acquire the amount of business you want.
If you want to do 10 per week and you can do that within a 10 mile radius, great, if not expand. In small towns your area may be bigger, in densely populated areas, your area may be smaller. A good service area is where there are lots of inspections.
I don't have a specifically defined "service area", but inspections way out in the boonies generally have higher fees. If the client is willing to pay, I'm willing to drive. |

I raise my prices for anything over a 45 minute drive.
