Foley was creepy. When this was uncovered, he resigned.

Studds (from Mass.) actually had sex with a male page, while on a 'fact finding mission' overseas and was merely censured and was re-elected (I believe, 3 times).

Republican creep gets caught and resigns in discrace.

Democrat creep gets caught and gets re-elected.

BTW: I have not seen any evidence that Foley ever actually had sex with a page, underaged of adult.

Please, understand. I am not supporting Foley. I believe the guy is just plain creepy and its a good thing that he is gone.

And those other Saints covering for him also deserve re election. Don't you just love being the family values party. "May I have some Meth with my Gay Massage". You just can't make this stuff up.

Just do not call the President a Moron because you might hurt the feelings of the troops.

Who is covering for him? And who besides you, your father, uncle and Jeff Wortham is calling the President a moron?

And the troops feelings were not hurt by Kerry's calling the President a moron. They were upset at his calling them morons. Of course, they weren't actually upset. They are used to such treatment from the likes of Kerry.

Bad actions be individual members of a particular party or group is not reason for blanket condemnation of that whole group.

That is called ad hominim argument and is not valid.

if someone disagrees with a position I take, with the agruments I propose and the facts I reference to bolster my argument, simply calling me a name does not invalidate my argument or position.

To say that the agrument against changing the definition of marriage is invalidated because one person proposing that argument is found to (allegidly) engaged in homosexual behavior is not a valid or reasonable argument. You are just attacking the proponent of the argument, not refuting the argument itself.

Also, there are plent of non-religiously based arguments against changing this definition. Slaming the religion is also just an ad hominium.

Unemployment is down to a stunningly low 4.4%, and the Dow index, while off slightly the last few days, recently reached an all-time high. With times like these, incumbents would normally be cruising to re-election. Of course, it's easy to understand: when a Congressman is sending racy instant messages, who cares about the economy?

I think it is clear what the miliary feel about Kerry, as witnessed by this units response.

BTW: This unit is a National Guard reserve unit, not regular army. Wasn't Mr. Bush also in such a unit?

Shos who's side they are on.

2nd BTW: It seems that the ballots coming in from the active duty military in Iraq have increased, a great deal, since Lerry's remarks. Over 150,000 votes. Anyone want to bet which party they will be voting for?

If Mr. Bush is such a moron, why is his university GPA higher than Kerry's and his SAT scores as well. How could he graduate (with honors) from Harvard Business school? And don't use that old lie that two different universities 'shaved' his grades. Bush's accedeminc record was gone over with a fine tooth comb before the 2000 elections and it was shown that his work was very deserving of the grades he received.

Sure, is daddy was rich, but so was JFKs. Is that proof that JFKs grades were also shaved.

Show us the miliary records, Mr. Kerry. You promised but have not produced. What are you hiding?

Kerry's problem is that he lives in an elite world of (pseudo) intellectual nuance, where there is not right, wrong, truth or falseness. Examine every possible approach and look at every angle. This may be nice for collage professors, but not for a President.

President's actually have to make decisions. These decisions affect millions of people and are a matter of life or death.

Bush isn't perfect, but he is good.

I guess you're right. We are on defense. Sensible people have to counter preposterously stupid arguments. Otherwise, there's anarchy, right?

I don't live in Chicago and those days are long gone, in any case.

Nice try at an ad hominium argument, though.

I prefer valid arguments.

This is where you and I part company, Will. Bush is nearly perfect. He's the right POTUS at the right time.

The economy is booming - though you'd never know it if you relied solely on the NY Times, the LA Times, the Inky and their radical left brethren for your news - tax revenues are at record high levels, unemployment is the lowest in years, jihadists are dying by the thousands, North Korean fashion victim Kim Jong Il now knows that he is not dealing with a dope like Clinton, and Iran knows that its nuclear program is doomed - unless of course, dopey liberals elect a Democratic Congress.

I love President Bush. Of course, the terrorists are pulling for the Ds.
