Im working on adding WDI inspections to my services
Shouldn’t they have noted carpenter bees. I won’t be able to recommend treatment but for my own knowledge they need to treat and fill the tunnel so they can kill any bee inside and prevent any from returning right?
States vary on their requirements for reporting. Some do not consider Carpenter Bees a WDO so they do not show up on the official report. Make sure of your specific state reporting requirements. WDO/WDI reporting has some of the highest liability for missed issues. That is one reason I dropped my Pest Inspectors License. All the liability is in inspecting, all the money in treating.
Just report it as damaged wood that needs repair or replacement depending on the damage noted.
