There is no differnece between any of the inspection associations as far as credibility in the certification process. All of them can be decieved and there is no verification that truely is going to be accurate. Belonging to any of them is a business decission you have to make. You are the one that is going to have to determine what each one is going to give you in return for the money you invest in your membership dues. If you are looking for instant validation simply by paying membership dues, I highly doubt that you are going to find that. You have to work hard and establish respect in your area and industry in order to get that. Nobody really cares what home inspection association you have on your website or your inspection report. All they care about is the quality of work that you produce and the level of service that you provide.

Trust me...you are digging up old bones trying to compare one association over the other. They all have their good point and bad points. I prefer to stay with NACHI because they provide me with much more than any of the other organizations combined would if I joined every one of them.

Let me guess...Are you coming up on your 250th inspection soon?

Not trying to dig up any bones. Just don't understand Nicks paper mill comments is all. I think both orgs have benefits this one on a educational, benefit and friendship level, ASHI on a financial level. As for coming up on 250 I honestly need to count how many I've done in 09. Oct 08 through present was my first year in St. Louis. I have several more that would put me well over 250 however those were done under another inspector in another state and since I was training I can't count those. How long have you been in business under your current company name? How many inspections do you have under your belt? You seem to keep busy often.

But that is true for every corporation and not something unique to InterNACHI.

As head of InterNACHI I've spoken with thousands of members personally at countless events, talked thousands of times on the phone with members, interacted tens of thousands of times with members on this message board, and exchanged hundreds of thousands of emails with members. InterNACHI staffers attend many events personally. We do live TV shows, classroom courses, and webinars. We have a live help chat box connected directly to me. We answer every email every day, we handle 30 pounds of incoming mail a day, our phones are answered constantly, and the message board never goes down. I'd go as far as saying that there isn't a trade association on the planet earth where members have more "direct input." Is there something more we should be doing?

InterNACHI has paid for hundreds of top-notch trainers to speak and teach at local chapter meetings over the years. InterNACHI paid for truck loads full of post cards, letters and postage announcing local chapter events. InterNACHI has paid for local chapter logo designs. InterNACHI produces and ships all the trade show banners, literature, tablecloths and signs to local chapters. InterNACHI has paid to make every chapter banner. InterNACHI has bought and shipped boat loads of door prizes for local chapter meetings. InterNACHI published and shipped thousands of inspection books to chapter events. InterNACHI pays for every chapter's unique website including hosting forever www.nachi.org/chaptersites. I've traveled personally to dang near every InterNACHI Chapter in N. America, some I've visited more than once. Lisa Endza even did the Puerto Rico chapter this past summer while pregnant! I've personally paid for train loads of food and booze at chapter events. I'm really not sure what more you want. Can you explain?

I can testify to this like most members. I have seen it with my own eyes.

I joined Internachi because I feel that they have done more to advance the HI industry than any other organization. If everything that happens runs through Nick, (as it probably should) then I feel he is doing a good job.
Do not let a naysayer like him bother you. If you was here long enough you would know his motivation, and be like the rest of us and not even bother to respond to him. It saddens me to see somebody with so much hate.
