We’re talking about getting a 3D printer at the InterNACHI office to make some custom tools and potentially to use to generate 3D versions of members’ logos, etc. Can anyone think of other cool products that we could print for home inspectors?
What material can you use for 3D printing?? I would love a belt buckle with my logo.
Which model are you guys looking at .
In a few years they will become less pricey ?
We were looking at plastics only, but I’d love to be able to print in metal, too. I’ll look into it 
You need to think of original products that can not be bought.
Other than art most of the stuff I see is just a more expensive version of basic tools and products though I am sure there are cool unique uses for it.
Invention is tough or we would all do it.
Home Inspection badges like the Police or Firemen. Only thing is make it meaningful to the public by awarding only to those that truly qualify for such an honor. Say 5 years Inspecting as** Loyal InterNachi Inspectors**. Must have a background check to purchase and registered with the Government. Set it up for 5 yrs Bronze 7 yr Silver 10 yr Gold.

Not sure of a good 3D design that way as it could already be done with fiberglass.

do you mean like Fake vents and such? Keystone etc…
Print out layers of the Stucco or EIFS wall systems.
Each layer would be a separate printout that can layer onto the next one to show how the system is put together.
Other ideas would be windows and flashing.
Roof systems
Components for a tile floor, heated floors.
All of this can be in small scale to use as demonstrations for Realtor offices, presentations.
