Default What's the difference?

What is the difference between the "Manual for a Happy Home" and "Now that you have had a home Inspection"?

Authors. I think Ben's is geared toward the inspector. Dr. Swift's is more to the buyer.

www.nachi.org/now.htm was designed from the ground up to reduce post-inspection liability.

For example... this from the back of the book (read the second line):

Quote:
You are now a new homeowner. The most important thing to understand as a new homeowner is that things break. As time moves on, parts of your house will wear out, break down, deteriorate, leak, or simply stop working.

If you hired a certified home inspector, that was a good decision and money well spent. Your home inspector inspected the home and reported the home’s condition as it was at the time of the inspection. That is the main responsibility of a home inspector.

This book addresses your responsibility. Every homeowner has similar concerns and questions. And they are all related to home maintenance.

• “What should I look for?”
• “What does a real problem look like?”
• “How should it be corrected?”

The answers to these questions are in this book.

This book will guide you through the systems of a typical house, how they work, and how to maintain them. You will learn what to monitor (what to look for) as the house ages. Just like the engine of an automobile, your house works as a system of independent parts. Every part has an impact on the operation of many others. A typical home has more than 10,000 parts. What happens when all the parts work together in the most desirable, optimal way? You are rewarded with a house that is durable, comfortable, healthy and energy-efficient.

You can make it happen. This book will help you.

Get it? It also does the same for REALTORs who buy them and give them to their clients.

Also, Dr. Swift's book is in full color, Ben's is in B&W.

I thought the new (2nd) edition was to be in color. When will it be available? Also, when I click the link, the pictures (cover?) are missing.
