Twas the Thursday before Christmas, and all through the site
Not a person was posting, the time was not right
The computers were humming on the desk, I could hear
In hopes that Old Nicky, soon would be here.

The inspectors were huddled by their keyboards with care
With gifts on the line, they were pulling their hair
With mamma in her ‘kerchief, I sent her to bed
There’s no time tonight dear, I want an IR Camera instead

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I just stared at the screen, other things didn’t matter.
Then there was a post, then another like a flash,
I reached for my keyboard and made a mad dash

That little old poster, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment, it must have been Nick
More rapid than gunfire, the posts they just flew
Which one to answer, Oh what will I do?

I typed and I typed till my fingers grew weak
And I saw these great gifts for all members to seek
But Alas I type slow and the winners they came
And Nick he kept posting, and called winners by name

Now Bushart, Now Larson, Now Duffy and Kelly (that’s Kelly1….sorry Brian)
On Beaumont, On Doane, On Pope and Valley
The prizes kept coming, they just didn’t stop
And I still kept on typing but didn’t get to the top

The post it was hidden, “not for everybody” the thread
Another political post? Or is God really dead?
And then, in a twinkling, I watch with great glee
The IR Camera I had dreamed of, now belonged to me

It was the last of the prizes, the last of the posts
And all the Inspectors, they all made their toasts
But Nick’s was the last, and it seemed only right,
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"
