This is for you guys in the south =)

Good ole Michigan!

My power bill is $100/month and I stay warm and toasty! I never understood why people settled cold weather climates…my forefathers were of superior intelligence I guess.

Whats your cooling bills during the summer though?

I don’t turn it on till it get’s above 90 and often turn it off at night. (My wife must really love me.) Older home in the shade with high ceilings. I don’t think I’ve ever had a power bill > $150 in my life. I’ve very stingy.

Full disclosure: I heat with a wood boiler.

Our last house was a 2000 sqft four square heated with electric baseboard and cost around $600 month. Three years later we had sears install a new boiler $6000.00 I thought yeah baby our heat bills will go down. They did alright down to around $500.

Now we have a small 1200 sqft beach cottage and it cost only around $100 - $150 to heat. But we set the heat at 75 in the fall and don’t touch it until spring

Yeah I usually pay a little less than 100 a month

All you need is a south facing home full of windows, and a ceiling fan. On cold, cloudy days, fire up the fireplace or the heat pump.

If they were so superior, how come it took four of them? Hummmmm?

How many of them were cousins?
