When they first revealed to me that I was involved the producer said "I blew then away" and DID catch SEVERAL things that the "expert" missed....Several. But how would they look if they reported that and let the guy go on judging us. As far as the porch, I failed to mention the missing hangar nails, my bad. But in the same area I mentioned the beam they are attached to needs to be replaced or monitored for a short time. They used a 2x4 post instead of a beam for the patio there and it was visibly sagging. I put the report on my site as the sample if you want to check it out. Don't even get me started on the wire sheathing. Next time I will recommend installing a 1/4 inch of conduit. That "expert" had to give himself some credibility, and I like to think he had a challenge getting some with me involved.

What they didn't mention is how I was the only one to detect active moisture under a bathroom floor coming into the living room ceiling. Also note in the video when we all missed the "exposed" wire, I actually kept the cabinet open while one guy didn't open at all and one guy opened for a millisecond...just saying. I didn't like how they focused on the high loop and anti-siphon valves. Pretty common defect around here, and much more major things were going on there.

I was happy about the report getting recognized, and at the risk of sounding arrogant, not very surprised. Thats where I think I thrive.
Naturally the news has to get people to watch, so it was more negative than it should've been, in my opinion. The way the producer built me up over the phone, I thought she was going to start over and use me as the expert.

I understand some of the earlier posts questioning my inspection techniques. Not much I can do about that. I know the work I do, and I was happy about that job. But hey, as this site will tell you...we're all critics.
