Anyway they told me to go to the meetings and put it to the BOD at the BTR and see what they say.

In other words--- They don't know until they know.

Back to the show goto go. Lightning and all!!
It would have to be registered as an independant org and then at that point it wouldn't be national.

Two things, John.

One, thanks for the credit - I don't even mind being called Jim (more obtuse people have called me Michael).

Two, what I suggested is not a set of useless membership by-laws but a Strategic Organizational Plan. They are enturely different beasts.

Your suggestion is a document that has no ability to be enforced or enacted and can not effectively establish a single policy or procedure (you already exempted leadership and all policy making committees by establishing that they are bound only to their own by-laws).

My suggestions is a comprehensive document that encomapsses the organization and all of its facets, components, assets and liabilities to establish goals, objectives, and action items for each component (staff, leadership, volunteer committees, membership, and the org as a whole). It is specifically designed to define roles and establish a flexible structure that is capable of maximizing resources and adapting to take advantage of flleting opportunities while carefully managing growth so that it is sustainable.

NACHI, of course, has no use for the latter as I have been told before...I have no use for the first.

Incidentally, as part of a body that attempted to submit a fairly minor proposal for relvant change that I believe is a net positive for teh membership, I witnessed the warmth and appreciation with which it was accepted. I have less than no interest in assisting with any planning or development of NACHI organizational projects.

Right now I do not have the time to play BB with you but you are off base in a lot of areas and in the next few days I will take some time to give you my thoughts

In the mean time try to follow your basic beliefs to be kind to people - I know that in your heart you are but some times you come across a little on the unkind side

Something else for you to think about is that NACHI gives to me, with all its faults, what I need and want -- this voting thing and other subjects I will publicly take up with your later. Needless to say I disagree with your or at least your posts on the subjects.

Have a pleasant eve

rlb,

I am glad to hear that NACHI meets all your needs. Some of us need more.

Voting does not harm those who are disinterested - it is likely that they will not ever notice the difference or that there has even been an election. To those for whom it makes a difference...it makes ALL the difference.

Man do I feel better, carry on.

Aside from DHarris, I cannot see where you could be mistaking that I am trying to be unkind.

I have to tell you, I gave up trying to please all of you other inspectors awhile back.

When I posted all mealy mouthed and boring, people told me they missed my wit and humor.

Now that I put a little spark back in it, you say I'm being hurtful and unkind, as well as implying un-christian.

There is a wise old saying I am sure you know....

You can please....

In the meantime I look forward to your input as I am not afraid of opinions of others as some people here seem to be, I welcome them as all have a right to a voice.

Take care,
Wendy
