I would hope that no NACHI member would prostitute their knowledge, experience & training to work for someone who does not in turn value the work NACHI members can perform. Fifty dollars is a slap in the face to experienced home inspectors, the minimum pay for one of these inspections is $75, fair pay would be $90.
$50 No thank you .... what is Skye Tec paying?

Perhaps Michael will post something to clear up the matter.

Oh by the way... It takes nearly $50 for a tank of gas... but I can
stay at the house for free.

I vaguely remember someone touting inspections for $49 and calling it "monkey marketing" or something like that. Maybe it has spread its way from CA to FL.

That's cheap. Try $100 and that doesn't even fill it up - 44 gal tank!

Any WCE that offers an inspector $50 to perform one of these inspections should be run out of our state. We have no room for anyone that would take advantage of us in this manner. It is one thing to do it when private money is involved. It is an entirely different matter when it is state tax dollars.

If you guys want to set up a side for-profit stock company and give all NACHI members on share, I'll do it. I tried it last year and found no one interested in the venture. There is a lot of stuff we could be getting into with this NACHI network we've built together.

Hi Nick,

We need to do something to help our members. There are millions of tax dollars available to inspectors here. I hate to see the majority get just a 33% share of that while a few individuals get 67%. I would like to see it the other way around.

Greg, you are right, but it's not just this contract. It is the bazillion other projects we could be getting into which would benefit our members, things a non-profit, tax-exempt trade association can't do. We have an international inspection network here and we're really not exploiting it to even 1% of its potential.

I am serious.

I will have extra time to work on other projects since my mom is moving into an assisted living facility the end of this month. I have been taking care of her 7 days a week for almost two years.
