Courses required for 60 hours of Mold

What specific courses are required to meet the 60 hours required for gradfathering with the mold license in FL??
The two mold course only cover 24 hours. What else needs to be covered?

We submitted the 60 hours of courses but haven't been told if they are approved or not approved yet.

Do they have to be approved ahead of time? The law says:

"EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Certification as a mold assessor by a state or national association that requires successful completion of a proctored exam on mold assessment and completion of at least 60 hours of verifiable education for an assessor;"

It doesn't say that the courses have to be approved, it just says that they have to be mold related and verifiable.

Can you give me a list of the courses you submitted so I can be completing them instead of waiting?

It appears they aren't approving individual courses, only course providers like InterNACHI: http://www.nachi.org/florida-approve...n-provider.htm

But you should confirm with them.

In addition to the 60 hours you must take a proctored test. Do you have, or are you planning to have, such a test?

We took our tests several years ago and they were accepted the begining of July.

I think that NACHI should become a very big player in Mold Assessor's Licensing during the grandfathering phase, offering whatever courses and tests necessary to become licensed and not rely on the efforts of others or other organizations.

Sort of like the contractor groups getting 14 hours of training to become a licensed home inspector.

Gotta Love that grandfathering.
