All I can say is hang on, this whole thing is going to suck.
There are however some of us that haven't been HI's for a number of years, just been in the construction trades all of our lives. I would also imagine there are several that are very good or even great inspectors that have never been involved in construction at all. The grandfathering that will probably never happen, will need to be done fairly. As we all know, there isn't ever a way to properly please the masses.

Granfather all in business when the bill became law would be fair IMO. There would be very little opposition to that. Then we could have a grandfather clause, it would be fair and we could just move forward. Licensing is here to stay.

Do 4 points, Wind Mits, Condos, walk throughs, various types of environmental inspections count for the 1000 qualifying inspections or is that 1000 standard Pre-Purchase inspections?

I know any inspection related course hour counts toward the 1,000 but I'm not sure if environmental inspections do. You'd have to ask John McKenna.

Thumbs up Re: FL Department of Business and Professional Regulation adds us to Stakeholder list

Nick, so if we have a big meeting, what about the beer and food?. Will the party be sponsored by InterNACHI???? We can do a two day event. We in Florida like to party. Just say the place & the time and I will assure you that we will have hundreds if not thousands of members marching along with you and celebrating the success. And you can take that to the bank!

You may be able to find info about dates for home inspection meetings by checking F.A.W. each week.

FL DBPR added us to Stakeholder list for mold.
We have been added as stakeholder for upcoming mold licensing meetings.
“I have added your name to the stakeholder list and you will be receiving an invitation to the stakeholder meetings.”
