No he can just ignore it and it will become law after a certain amount of time. That way they can pass an objectionable bill and still claim that he didn't endorse it.

I sent my letter in.
Funny - I haven't seen anyone post an objection to out of state licenses being accepted.

The final Bill specifically states " those who act in its behalf as Home Inspectors"

Maybe we should just change our industry to "Structure Purchase Consultants". Then we're not home inspectors.

You are very close to the proper response to legislated marketing plans such as these.

We can do like they did in new hampshire and all become commercial inspectors.

I finally got a reply from his office, But that dont tell me much.
Thank you for writing to Governor Charlie Crist expressing your views on a
bill currently before the Governor for signature. The Governor appreciates
hearing your views and asked that we respond on his behalf.

The Executive Office of the Governor follows all bills as they move through
the legislative process. Generally, Governor Crist does not take a
position on a specific bill until it has been adopted by the Legislature
and presented for his action, as bills can be amended substantially during
the legislative process. Please be assured, that the concerns and opinions
of Floridians like yourself are shared with the Governor and weigh into his
decision on whether or not to sign a bill.

Again, thank you for taking the time to write to Governor Crist. Your
thoughts are very important to him. You may also wish to share your
comments with your local legislators. If you do not know who your
legislative representative is, you can access that information at
www.congress.org.

Finally, you may also track individual bills from either the Senate here:
http://www.flsenate.gov/Welcome/inde...TOKEN=54292461
or the House of Representatives here:
http://www.myfloridahouse.com/

We hope this proves helpful. If you would like to keep current with news
on Governor Crist's initiatives please follow this link to the weekly
electronic newsletter "Notes from the Capitol":

http://www.flgov.com/capitol_notes.

To receive these weekly updates via e-mail, you may subscribe at:

PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS E-MAIL. THIS ADDRESS IS FOR PROCESSING ONLY.

To contact this office please visit the Governor's website at
http://www.flgov.com/contact_form and fill out the on-line contact form.
Again, thank you for contacting Florida Governor Charlie Crist.

I have 19 of those replies. One for each letter written.

Funny, each time I read one it looks the same as the last...

Got the same thing. Its an auto-reply message. A pretty much generic response to ANY bill before him.
